Errol Porter received both his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas in 1994 and 1997, respectively. He joined HiDEC as a Research Assistant in 1997 and became a Research Associate in 1999. Porter is the fabrication provider contact at the University of Akansas. He provides essential supervision and management to a $1M Micro-fabrication laboratory, certifies users of the thin-film facility, maintains thin-film fabrication equipment, and manages the cleanroom users & expense database for invoicing and budget purposes. He developed and currently teaches Microelectronics Fabrication, a hands-on course for graduate students planning to utilize the cleanroom facility. The course teaches students to fabricate thin-film substrates while following a process flow. Porter is a member of the Material Research Society and is a Semizone.com registered member.
